[sims] Hosted SIMS - SIMS .Net Pops Up!

Morning all!

 

A bit of an odd one ...

 

I'm now supporting a school that has their SIMS hosted at Capita. I've been informed that the SIMS .net application itself has a tendency to flicker when in use, but more alarmingly, it also possesses the ability to push itself to the top of all open applications! Essentially, a teacher could have sensitive data open in SIMS, for it to then pop up in front of all other applications and display on the classroom projector!

 

I'll more than likely need to raise this with Capita Support. However I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced similar and if so, did you or Capita ever manage to fix the issue?

 

SLT are quite keen to bring SIMS back onsite again. Even though it means increased management from our perspective, I personally think this might be a worthwhile move.

I would never have opted to have it hosted.

 

I could swear I've seen threads either here or on Capita's MyAccount site about this issue. don't recall a solution.
