Exam software reinstallation

Hi,

We have to change the Exam Officers computer and she is (quite rightly) nervous about not having access to her exam software A2C by Avco.

 

We can't seem to get any kind of support and have no idea how to reinstall it as we have no installation files.

You can redownload it from here

You will need to redownload and re-install the security keys relevant to the boards you use.

You usually need to request these from the secure section of the exam board web site, which your EO will have access to, and importing them is straightforward.

Make sure you look on the existing computer and check the config of the current install, which will show you which folders are being used as the inbox, outbox etc. Make a note of these so you can re-create them on the new box.

You might also want to check that there are no special firewal, filtering or network contfigs in place that might be machine dependent - our EO computer has a fixed IP for example.

If you don't want to redownload the security keys (or want to store them on the network somewhere) follow the mandatory profile steps here: Advanced and then just copy the existing location to the new location.

 

All I then do is reinstall the software and point it to the redirected location if needed.
