Updating Teams through SCCM

Hope you are well.

 

I need to update the Teams desktop client on the school PCs. Originally it was installed via a script in SCCM, would i need to uninstall Teams first and then install the new update or could I remove the old deployment in SCCM and create a new one to install the latest client?

The desktop client updates itself in the user context. If you do remove it you have to run a powershell script to remove it from each users profile.
