Evening All,

On our hyperv setup we have a Windows 2012r2 server which runs EMCO Remote Shutdown and Wakeup software. It shuts machines down without any issues but refuses to wake them up using the WOL command. On a test of 30 machines - it does not wake them up.

In testing we have installed the EMCO shutdown software on my physical windows 10 machine. It works fine and wakes the 30 test machines up.

What (if anything) could be stopping the WOL command passing through the Hyper-V virtual switch and hitting the network? Could it be anything?

The Hyper-V servers (3 of them) are connected to two Cisco 200 switches - for redundancy and those two are connected to our central backbone switch which if I remember is a Cisco 3650

If anyone has any ideas - I'd love to hear them,

Cheers

Gareth
