Looking for a refurbished tape library and seen a couple on http://www.itinstock.com so I was wondering if anyone has used them and if they are a reputable company or not? I'm sure they are but as we've never heard of them before it would be nice to hear feedback from anyone who has purchased things from them in the past...

We know them well. Our owner isn't a fan because they operate in a more 'fast and loose' manner than he expects a used pars supplier to.

That said, they're sometimes very useful for the odd part.

Yep I've ordered a few things from them (servers, IP phones) and been happy with what I have received. I think they're more of a high volume supplier, with less time for specifics. If you know exactly what you want, and they have it, then it's a good deal.

One thing to note, they require payment up front, they won't do 30 day credit for schools. You pay, they send.

I deal with a chap called Mark Neilson, he's always been very helpful.

I bought a Dell PowerEdge 210 off them once - to be delivered to work, but for home use. Never. Ever. Again.

They said it'd be delivered in 2 days. After 2 weeks of me chasing by email, and eventually by phone, they finally delivered a server which was of a significantly lower specification than the one I paid for (less RAM, smaller slower HDD, etc.), and then pretended that everyone was out of the office (playing "I'm just the janitor") whenever I called. I finally called pretending to be a new customer, at which point they were very helpful, but then hung up on me when I asked about my under-specced delivery.

I eventually had to resort to filing a PayPal claim, which eventually got me my money back. I then bought the same unit for less money elsewhere [EuroPC], which arrived on time and was as advertised.

Thanks for the replies so far. They have what we want at a price that we like so I don't have any techie questions for them. They've told me that anything over £1,000 has 12 months warranty and under £1,000 it is 6 months warranty - quite a simple way to do the warranties which I guess saves them time so they can just put what they have on their website and sell it!
