SCDPM - Schedule Automatic Tape Drive Refresh - Is Is Possible?

Occasionally the tape drive in our Dell tape library disappeared from DPM - in most cases simply clicking on the tape library in DPM and then hitting the Refresh button brings it back. The only issue is, whilst it's missing, any tape backups fail and can only be resumed once the refresh has taken place.

 

Not sure if I've dreamt this is or not, but in the back of my mind I seem to recall there was a way of scheduling a refresh periodically to minimise this from happening but I cant see any settings within DPM nor any results from a search on the internet about it.

 

Have I indeed dreamt this missing feature or is there a way of doing this that I've forgotten about?

System Center stuff is usually quite manageable with PowerShell. A quick google suggests that this command:

Might be what you want. A scheduled task with a quick PowerShell script might be an easy way to do it.
