Monitoring iPad usage?

We use Netsupport to monitor desktop usage, and I can get reports on every website a child has visited etc.

 

I need to do the same on our iPads, but for some reason I can't get the NetSupport app to work with our proxy. I have been on with NetSupport trying to resolve it for about 6 months, but I need to find an alternative as it's becoming more important that we can do this monitoring. Ideally, we'd like something that monitors the iPads whether they are in school or at home.

 

Does anyone use anything that works well?

I believe solutions like NetSupport, Impero, etc have a Browser that you install, and as long as the pupil uses that browser, it will log what they do.

 

However if they use another browser, or any other app for that matter, you will not have a track of that activity. Unfortunately that's a limitation of Apple's completely locked down approach to iOS. Companies like NetSupport/Impero simply are not able to have that heavier OS tie in to monitor the system like they can with Windows.

If it works, then that would be acceptable as we can hide / remove the other browsers on the ipad.

This works for iOS don't need to configure PAC files proxies or anything else whilst iPad is out of school.....

That's quite interesting as we already use Lightspeed to manage the iPads.

If you are 1:1 with iPads this is a breeze as you track usage and report via via Lightspeed's integrated with Relay.

We currently only pay for Lightspeed MDM, any idea how much it costs to add on Relay?
