IT Technician (1st/2nd Line) – Surrey * URGENT *

Salary circa £27,000 dependent on experience (Benefits include pension, surrey rewards etc.)

This is a full time, permanent position

Our client, a secondary school in Surrey, are currently looking for an enthusiastic and qualified IT Technician to work within a busy IT department, supporting the school’s networks and individual users.

 

The successful candidate will report to the IT Manager and provide 1^st and 2^nd line support and preventative maintenance on core systems and equipment, to ensure a high level of reliability.

 

Essential Technical Skills:

 

· Windows 7/10

· Windows Server 2012/2016

· Microsoft Office 2016

· Knowledge of IOS / Android Platforms

· Active Directory and Group Policy

 

Desired Technical Skills:

 

· Virtualised platforms (Hyper-V or VMWare)

· Ubiquiti Unifi (Wi-Fi)

· LAN / WAN / VLAN / DNS & DHCP

· Casio & Epsom Projectors

· Smartboards

· Panasonic Telephony system (VoIP)

· AVG Business Security (Anti-Virus)

· HP Procurve Switches

· CAT 5e Cabling

· Knowledge of a School MIS System (Ideally SIMS)

· Experience providing IT support within a school
