gbtb Posted March 14, 2019 Posted March 14, 2019 We are currently looking at migrating from our on-site exchange server to Exchange Online. Do anyone have any hints and tips for doing this successfully? We have run the Hybrid wizard, selected a minimal setup however it fails on creating the migration endpoint. We have had 2 errors so far, one of them relating to authentication not being successful i'm wondering if because we use TMG to publish our current OWA and this may be causing issues when it tries to access EWS?
chaplic Posted March 14, 2019 Posted March 14, 2019 I suspect you've answered your own question ! EWS needs to be presented to O365 withouth any 'preauthenticate', i.e. you go to https://myserver.com/ews and you do not see a TMG login page Really , Really understand Autodiscover and what targetAddress does in o365 context When it's setup you'll be surprised about how smoothly it'll go.
gbtb Posted March 20, 2019 Author Posted March 20, 2019 Thanks for the advice Since publishing EWS without TMG getting in the way things started working as they should and we have managed to migrate a couple of accounts over to Exchange Online for testing.
