Office 365 Only allow staff to email student

Hi all,

 

I have been asked to block students from email a particular student and only allow the student to receive emails from Staff. Is there a way to do this?

We use a mail rule to block external emails from getting to users of certain groups (Mainly Year 7, 8 & 9). So you should be able to setup a similar rule which states all emails to 'Students Group' to be delete/blocked except from 'Staff Group'. You can then add exceptions as needed for trusted websites etc.

As rob says, Groups of users will be your friend here. We have something set so that students cannot email each other but are able to email staff, fortunately we have students as a subdomain our our domain which makes it a whole lot easier.

 

Stick a couple of test users in a group, test, test, test and see what results you get
