TwistedHelixis Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 (edited) One of my primary schools has just federated with another school. Rather than having 2 separate governing boards they now have one, they have given themselves a name and new logo etc. I have set the new governing board up with a new separate G Suite domain, but I now need to migrate the governors team drives from both schools to this new G Suite domain. I am able to share the current Governor team drives with the new domain. I then thought I could remove the old users assigned to the Team Drive so the only users listed are from the new domain, but although this does work the drive still says it is owned by the old domain and not the new domain. I seem to remember this was the method to transfer ownership of drive files, Is this not the correct method for team drives? Edited February 28, 2019 by TwistedHelixis
TwistedHelixis Posted February 28, 2019 Author Posted February 28, 2019 So what I have done so far is at the new domain create a new Team Drive, I then tried move the files from the Team Drive that is shared from the old domain to the team drive in the new domain, but I get an error about sharing files outside the old domain. In G Suite admin I have my admin acc in a separate OU from the staff & Governors, I have turned off all the block settings etc that I can find in the apps / drive / sharing section. I probably need to leave things for 24 hours to update and then see what happens
