Joythi Posted February 25, 2019 Posted February 25, 2019 Herts for Learning - Technical Consultant (Level 1) Contract: Permanent - 37 hours Monday to Friday only, 52 weeks per year (Term time plus will also be considered) Salary: £16,000-£21,000 (dependant on experience) p.a. plus annual performance bonus Location: 4 days travelling to schools across Hertfordshire with 1 day at the Head Office, Stevenage. The role involves travelling around Hertfordshire to provide onsite ICT support to schools on weekdays, within business hours (i.e. 9am – 5pm). This includes being a part of large scale network installations which take place during school holidays. You will have a portfolio of around 10 schools to support so will need to have a full driving licence and have access to, and be prepared to use a car which is insured for business purposes. Main areas of responsibility To deliver the onsite support element of our managed ICT service to schools, including: • Maintenance and support of ICT equipment including Microsoft Windows, Apple iOS, Google devices • Setup and build of workstations/laptops/tablets to company standard configuration • Installation and configuration of software, drivers, printers etc. • Basic administration of Office365 • Maintenance and troubleshooting of Audio-Visual equipment – interactive whiteboards, projectors, smart TVs, digital signage etc. Person Specification We are seeking a proactive individual who is keen to learn about new technologies, likes to solve problems, and is willing to be exposed to technical issues and equipment from the get go. This is a customer facing role which requires attention to detail, excellent troubleshooting techniques and exceptional customer services skills. Previous technical experience would be beneficial, however for the right candidate full training is available, but you will need to have a real desire to learn. Knowledge / Experience of: • Windows operating systems up to and including Windows 10/Server 2012R2 • Client server networks • Antivirus software • Wireless technologies • Apple iOS • Network hardware – switches, cables etc. Knowledge of school’s systems (RM CC4, MS Office 365, Capita SIMS etc.) would be advantageous.
