chrisjako Posted February 15, 2019 Posted February 15, 2019 We operate a helpdesk window where students come and buy £1 printer credits in exchange for a papercut sticker with the code on to top up their accounts It can be quite frustrating at times to deal with the onslaught of kids coming for these, I would like to automate it if possible by using some sort of coin op vending machine which would take this job off our hands, the librarian used to do this but the school recently made him redundant Does anyone have this sort of solution in place or could recommend a machine for this use?
Big_Ted Posted February 16, 2019 Posted February 16, 2019 you can get top up value loaders, the downside is the cost and that someone has to physically deal with the money (a security and trust issue). You could look at using an online payment system such as paypal or if you operate something like wisepay or parentpay you can use the funds for that within papercut. The top up method you mention is just selling a card/paper with a value - you just need to automate the selling of that. That would be best where ever money can exchange hands at the school or chuck it in a vending machine next to the mars bars
