New User PC Setups

Hi,

 

Currently, we are using W10 Edu on Surface Pro devices. We create new users, and when we login as the user we do the following:

 

• Use inetcpl.cpl to add two extra TLS settings (we do this, as Microsoft Store sometimes does not work)
  
• Login to Microsoft Store (store is locked down to the corporate store via GP)
  
• Login to Outlook
  
• Login to Onedrive
  
• Login to Onenote
  
• Add taskbar shortcuts for Outlook, OneNote and Google Chrome
  
• Finally, we run a powershell script to remove all the W10 software that we don't want cluttering up the PC.
  

just basic stuff really but constant entering of the users password. What I want to know is, how can this be automated? Or at least as much of this as possible? What do others do when they are provisioning a new device for a user?

We strip out all apps as our image is installed via SCCM, logins are all SSO with ADFS. Although we also strip out the Microsoft Store so i'm not sure about that one.

Do you have auto discovery setup?

 

> Add taskbar shortcuts for Outlook, OneNote and Google Chrome

 

Should be easy to run a script to do that

I run that on first boot automatically.
