mavhc Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 Teacher found a 8MB powerpoint that consistantly BSOD's 1809 when printing, 3 different computers so far. Updated driver to Kyoceroa TASKalfa 3051ci KX 7.4.830.0 no change. Found an old laptop with 1609 on, which works. Think it's this file: https://jointhepod.org/teachers/mission-world-wide-web-assembly Anyone have similar problems?
mavhc Posted January 29, 2019 Author Posted January 29, 2019 Spread to another laptop now, user says it's not just when printing. 0x0000003b system service exception, p1 c0000005 says win32kfull.sys is the cause. Stack: ntoskrnl.exe 1c3369 win32kfull.sys 2bc029
mrwoberts Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 Was going to try the file for you, on 1803, but the download link needs registration. Do you have the same office updates on all these pcs that are failing? Or, put another way, which office updates does the 1609 OS have that the later ones don't??
mavhc Posted February 4, 2019 Author Posted February 4, 2019 Just narrowing down the problem. 1803 works, 1809 fails. These print queues are on a 2012r2 server. Pause printer, then print, job is now in local queue. No BSOD. In printer queue click Cancel All Documents, it BSODs Printing to PDF works. Printing that PDF from Chrome works. Printing that PDF from Adobe Reader seems to work too, so it's not specifically modern vs classic printing
mavhc Posted February 4, 2019 Author Posted February 4, 2019 (edited) Hmm, adding printer directly instead of via server seems to work... nope, just crashes when it tries to print, but doesn't when print job is cancelled Edited February 4, 2019 by mavhc
