Director of IT – Independent School, SW London * URGENT *

up to £60,000 (plus lunches, sports club, health & pension etc.)

Full time – permanent position

Our client, a prestigious independent school with over 1,000 pupils have recently embarked on an ambitious, long-term digital strategy and are now looking to appoint a Director of IT to lead the IT Department through this period of development.

 

As the Director of IT, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the school’s digital strategy plus managing effective and efficient IT support to the school’s teaching and administration departments. You will also be responsible for setting the school IT strategy and setting annual budgets, managing external suppliers and contractors, ensuring IT software and hardware are cutting edge and robust, and ensuring that the School IT systems meet the needs of both the staff and pupils at the school.

 

 

To be considered for this position, you must be a highly motivated and experienced IT professional, with excellent team management skills, capable of interfacing effectively with service users and of delivering a high-level IT strategy in addition to ensuring that day-to-day IT services are maintained at a high standard.

 

Any experience of the following will also be highly desirable:

An Honours degree or equivalent and demonstratable IT training qualification

Managing staff in an IT Support team

Windows 10 based network.

Office 365 and the use of Cloud services

iPads, Surface Pros and Chromebook class sets.
