SimpleSi Posted January 16, 2019 Posted January 16, 2019 A teacher is trying to get ScratchLink (program to allow Scratch 3 to talk to microbits) installed on their school computers but when it runs, the program says it needs the Creator Update installing They are being told: i've been told by my IT team that it can't be added to our 'LTSB enterprise branch of windows, as the creator update is reversed for commercial versions of windows Are they being fobbed off or is this accurate info that they are receiving from their IT team?
Arthur Posted January 16, 2019 Posted January 16, 2019 (edited) According to the system requirements for Scratch Link on the Microsoft Store it requires build 16299 (v1709) or newer. The most recent LTSC edition of Windows 10 is based on v1809 (build 17763) so I don't see any reason why the direct download version of Scratch Link shouldn't work. It sounds like the IT department probably have an old version of Windows 10 LTSB install on the teacher's laptop like build 14393 (v1607)? That's probably why they said Scratch Link isn't compatible. The IT team need to update the laptop! Edit. I'm not sure what they mean by 'reversed'? Edited January 16, 2019 by Arthur
