Outlook not showing Sender Name

Some of our users have an issue where when they perform a search the sender's display name is not shown - this is happening only on the inbox.

 

My Tech has found the following guide and we can confirm the registry hacks solve the issue:

 

Disable Server Assisted Search

 

Group Policy registry path:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\policies\Microsoft\office\16.0\outlook\search

DWORD: DisableServerAssistedSearch set to value of 1

 

OCT registry path:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\office\16.0\outlook\search

DWORD DisableServerAssistedSearch set to value of 1

 

Disables Outlook from requesting and using Search results from Exchange for cached and non-cached mailbox items. Instead, it will use search results from Windows search service. Set to 1 to enforce.

We have lots of staff that don't click the to button and just start typing g in the to box and it only stores the email addresses of the people you have sent to. Get users to click to and then search. Just an idea Richard

There was a degraded service on the admin page relating to the issue i stated. Just checked now and the issue is now not showing so i presume the issue is now sorted.
