IT Technician – North London – Contract / Temp to Perm

£16 per hour PAYE - £21 per hour LTD – 3 months initial contract

 

Our client, a leading independent school in the North London area, are currently looking for an experienced IT Technician to join their existing team, initially on a contract basis. Led by the Head of Desktop Services, your role will be support all members of the school in their use of Information Technology.

 

The postholder will be responsible for providing first class, customer focused IT Support, providing face to face support to resolve IT related queries, building and updating operating systems, creating user network and email accounts, managing the schools MIS provisioning tool to manage student accounts, updating the Service Desk system with progress and updating and maintaining relevant documentation.

 

Requirements;

· Worked in a relevant ICT position, preferably within the Education Sector

· Experience supporting hardware, software and AV equipment to a 1^st/2^nd line level

· Microsoft Windows 7/10, Office 2013/16

· Active Directory, Office 365

· HP Printers, Desktop Hardware, Network Printing

· iPads/iOS

· Networking equipment (Patching, wireless technologies etc.)

· Ability to communicate effectively at different levels throughout the school

 

Desirable;

· An honours degree or equivalent in a relevant subject

· Appropriate industry qualification (MCP, CompTIA A+ etc.)

· An understanding of child protection and safeguarding policies
