trackers Posted December 20, 2018 Posted December 20, 2018 So, having sent out our first set of reports using the SIMS Parent App, I am now looking at how else I might be able to use it. I see that I can send a message to the parent(s) of groups or individual children, but I am wondering how I might send attachments with such messages. At first glance I can see that this might be possible by using the homework option - but that is not really what I want to do. Say for example if I want to send out a .pdf attachment with an exam timetable. Is SIMS Parent App able to do this?

panosthegreat Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 What about putting the documents on your school's VLE on a public page and sending out a link to that through the app? 1
Esteban_Child_of_the_Sun Posted May 28, 2019 Posted May 28, 2019 I believe that if you have InTouch then it can send attachments through the app in an upcoming release of the Parent App. Capita mentioned it at their latest software update seminar. 2
trackers Posted May 28, 2019 Author Posted May 28, 2019 The school VLE is not something that has been used much for several years. If it was a used resource I guess this would be a reasonable workaround. - - - Updated - - - InTouch is not something I am familiar with - I'll see what I can find out.
