They certainly look the same, and the 2 laptops are the same size. How much would it cost to send them?

I wouldn't get rid of the USB-Serial adapter, I threw ours out over the summer having not needed to connect to anything with serial in years... then the PBX went pop so we've since brought another

We have RS232 cables - this is what all our devices use. Never known anything to use RS485.

Might be useful for testing lighting. DMX protocol is RS485. Some building control things including Paxton use RS485. I've had to use a few for interfacing solar PV inverters.

The hinges are gone and the serial cable will binned by the end of the day unless someone wants it.
