[sims] Primary Assessment Tracking

I thought I would pose the following question to the hive mind... Does anyone know of any Primary Assessment Tracking software that would write back an overall subject grade into SIMS.net? if not does anyone have experience of any software that exports data in a SIMS.net friendly format?

That's what we currently have, unfortunately that only writes back the formative data, we would then have to go into SIMS and assign an overall grade, we would end up having teachers going into two different systems.

Have you asked Learning Ladders if they would add your requirements as a feature?

Once you have the formative data in assessment manager can't you then calculate the overall grade automatically ?

It wouldn't be automatic, but yes that would be reasonably simple to set up.

A bit late to this thread but...

 

Why not create a Sims Assessment marksheet and avoid the need to write anything back to SIMS? The overall grade column on the marksheet can even be linked to the overall grade in the programme of study marksheets.

The teachers like the structure of the objectives in Learning Ladders so they are going to continue with that for the formative and then they are going to record the summative data in a marksheet in Assessment Manager, not ideal but it's a compromise!
