Hi All

Just thought I would post this to see if any EduGeek Amigos have come across this, whilst waiting for BTLS to get back to this urgent problem.

We have a user who has out the blue started getting username / password not correct message when trying to log into Sims.net.

When looking at her account in Sims we found that it had strangely become inactive. After reactivating her account and changing her username to the desired username we found that we could not save the account as apparently it already existed. We have searched all users in Sims and cannot locate another user with the same name.

Anyone else come across this problem?

Thanks in advance [emoji106]

We get this occasionally at some of our schools. If you are sure they aren't in SIMS associated to an active or inactive user, then it will most likely be referring to a remnant of their account in the SQL database. You'll need to delete the user _ from both \Databases\\Security\Users and from \Security\Users in SQL Management Studio.

HI Esteban_Child_of_the_Sun,

Many thanks for this information very useful to know and helps with piecing together how the Sims Database works.

Unfortunately this user has lots of things associated with them in the Sims database and has no reason (that we know of know of) is now unable to log in.

I am waiting for Capita or BTLS getting back with help on this, I get the feeling this will be a very simple thing to fix...but do not know where to start.
