[sims] Unique address labels

Does anyone know of a way to mail merge address labels from SIMS so we have one label for every unique address? We need to send a hard-copy letter to every family, but need to ensure families with multiple children only receive one letter.

 

We have not validated all the addresses so they don't all have a UPRN against them, but if it would help, we could consider doing that.

You can use the Housekeeping routine (Tools > Housekeeping > General) to update the mailing point which identifies one pupil at each address as the mailing point. This can be set to be the oldest or youngest child. You can then have your label report to filter on Mailing Point is TRUE.

Brilliant, thanks. There's even a pre-defined report which does this! It is also clever enough to select one twin even though they're the same age.
