Group Policy Errors

Hey

 

Just seeing if anyone else has had this issue, i wanted to update the ADMX files to match the lastest version, so i downloaded the files and copied them over the onces that were currently there any to skips loads for some reason. see screen shot below.

are you missing the language file

am going to own up here, i was meant to test this on my test environment as this not something am quite familer with but i didnt , i have attached screen shot.

Are you putting the newly updated ADMX files in the correct location

 

They need to go

 

\\domain\SYSVOL\domain\policies\PolicyDefinitions

 

You need to put the revelant adml files in the eng-us folder as well. These are the language files.

I noticed a defender one if you use 1803 Admxs and administer from 1607/1709.

Hi guys when i went to the folder \\domain\SYSVOL\domain\policies it didnt have the extra folder in \policydenfinsion so i thought because the group policy said ( admx files being pull locally ) i copied over all the files c:\Windows\policy decisions or somthing. So do i now need to fix the onces in the c drive then create a folder here \\dc1\SYSVOL\mydomain\policies\PolicyDefinitions. If i have to create a central one do i need to point group policy to it on both domain controllers.
