Oversized notifications after update to 1809

So, I upgraded(?) to 1809 yesterday and for the most part, it seems alright. I don't think I've lost any data and I don't use the built in zip functionality so that's OK. However, this one issue is getting on my pecks. Every time I get a notification, it looks like this:

 

The text is oversized and gets cut off. This is clearly to do with my hardware, I use my laptop as my main computer and the laptop has a HiDPI screen with two standard 1080p screens attached to it. One of the 1080p screens is the primary screen rather than the laptop so I guess the notifications are scaling up when they're not supposed to be. This wasn't an issue on 1709 from which I upgraded so I'm wondering if anyone has seen this behaviour before and if they know how to fix it
