Windows 10 disable access to safe mode with admin privileges

Hi there,

I have looked all around but have been unable to find an answer.

I would like to disable safe mode w/o networking (or both) on my Win10 as I am able to use it to bypass restriction software that I put in place for self-moderation purposes.

I am not concerned about the possible repercutions as my PC is scarcely used and all data is backed up.

Apologies if this is either not doable or very easy.

Thanks for quick reply. Is one possible option then to remove admin priveledges for myself? I only use my personal PC for schoolwork and have little use for admin priviledges at home. Sorry again for newbie questions I only have a limited experience in IT.

You could create a second standard user account for yourself and use this as your main account.

 

When you need to do something that requires admin privileges it should prompt for credentials and you can enter those of the account with admin rights.

bcdedit /set {bootmgr} displaybootmenu no

 

Switches off the boot menu completely so can't access safe mode.

 

We run this as a startup script on all computers via GPO.

 

It can easily be reversed.
