advice on courses??

i will be signing up for a cisco course in september but from now til then i cant seem to find anything that might be useful in the networking game. are there any part time courses or one dayers that are worth getting in the meantime as i need to get more papers behind me. im from good old dorset by the way??

How about self-studying for the Comptia Network+? You could use this book, one benefit the Comptia Network+ has is that you don't need to renewing or recertify every 3 years. Then when your ready to take the exam, just book yourself to do the exam at any Vue or Prometric testing centre.
