Delete file from time machine

Hi, I have Sophos home security and it’s picked up a threat but it’s in a backup on my time machine. It’s can’t automatically delete it so it needs me to do it manually but I can’t because I get the following message.

 

This operation can’t be completed because backup items can’t be modified.

 

I am using High Sierra OS

 

I have attached the image of the error below.

 

 

 

Any help would be much appreciated

Could you dump that backup (retaining the others) or dump all backups?

Ah. If it were Windows you were working with I would be able to point you in the right direction. I will have a look around to see if I can find something to help.

Sadly this didn’t work. I didn’t have the option with cog so couldn’t delete. So still searching for a solution.

you could briefly turn off protection, remove the file and enable protection
