Schools ICT Technician, Trafford, £23,866 - £25,463 , Closing date – 29/10/2018

The councils ICT section is looking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to provide technical support to schools who have signed up to the councils “Technical Support” service level agreement.

 

The successful applicant will visit schools during their allotted time slot and provide the technical lead; maintaining their server/client infrastructure and optimizing their ICT provision throughout the school including but not limited to wireless systems and emerging mobile technology.

 

The successful applicant must be able to work under pressure and with little supervision, managing their own workload in what is very much an autonomous role. A customer centric ethos is also a must as almost all of the time will be spent dealing directly with customers.

 

Excellent IT skills are essential especially experience of using Microsoft Server/Client Technologies and Mobile Device Management systems. Any history of providing ICT support in an educational environment would be advantageous as would previous experience of working in a distributed LAN/WAN environment.
