abillybob Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 Hello All So I've tried everything I can think of even getting Dell's deployment drivers, extracting them and then trying each folder but to no avail. I have even gone down each C:\Windows\DriverStore folder as it must be installed on the current system but nothing!!! Windows Server 2008 R2 is asking for some 'Mass Storage Drivers' when trying to install the software. It already has an Windows 7 Embedded installed on the server but I need to wipe it and I can't for the life of me work out how this works. It's a Dell OEM R5200 server if that makes any sense to you guys? Thanks any help would be most appreciated!!
pete Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 I assume you've stuck the service tag into here: https://www.dell.com/support/home/uk/en/ukbsdt1 to find out what RAID card it's using? Have you tried booting with the Dell install DVDs (which'll preload the necessary drivers) to begin the install? 1
computer_expert Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 Have you tried installing Server 2008 via the lifecycle controller? I think you hit F10 on boot then look for the OS Deployment bit once it loads. 1
abillybob Posted October 9, 2018 Author Posted October 9, 2018 Lifecycle controller did it Thanks both for your help!!
