We offer academic, wellbeing and community support to transform the lives of students (aged 9-18 years) who want to learn but have had low rates of attendance at school due to high anxiety, severe bullying, trauma or chronic stress. Students mostly attend online from home, on laptops we provide. We seek an experienced and capable IT Systems Administrator to help implement, support and improve IT systems and infrastructure at RBAir and the wider RB Group (a network of offline learner centres, with students physically in attendance), to meet the needs of our students and staff, and improve the quality of our online services. You’ll be working as part of a friendly, small team, and given a good degree of freedom to find and implement creative solutions in the face of various hurdles posed by our mostly remote user-base and semi-autonomous satellite locations. The work will include: Azure AD with Active Directory / LDAP integration/SSO Google G Suite and Office 365 admin Virtualization through Proxmox/KVM & containers Various Linux hosted web services/apps Windows Server 2k12+ and mostly Ubuntu/Debian Linux setup/admin Laptop, mobile and server hardware/software, maintenance & configuration Network / VPN administration (Ubiquiti Unifi / IPSec) Network security, GDPR, Charity and Schools compliance measures General technical support to end users on a daily basis. Input into planning for future systems and needs. Benefits: We offer long holidays of up to 8 weeks per year, usually to school calendar, but with limited opportunity for time off in terms. There is also some flexibility in working hours available. We’d like to see: A self starter, with a desire to deliver a polished, reliable solution. A creative approach to problem solving - backed by good attention to detail!
