Dos_Box Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 (edited) This service will be launched next week, the 19th to be precise, which means that if you are a Switch owner and want to game online you will have to subscribe. The good news is that Nintendo (for once) won't be fleecing its customer base with an annual subscription costing £17.99 for a single account and £31.39 for a family membership up to 6 accounts. There will also be a free 7 day trial. They are also going to be throwing in lots of NES games to the deal as well as - oh joy of joys - cloud game saving! admars Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 that's pretty good pricing, i subscribe to PS Plus, but that's more for the "free" games, i forget how much I pay as I usually wait till there's a good deal on HUKD and top up then, but it's more than that I may have to investigate as with the announcement of Animal Crossing overnight, I'm pretty sure the other half will inform me we need one
Dos_Box Posted September 14, 2018 Author Posted September 14, 2018 I do note the new Mario game (Super Mario Bros U Deluxe) will miss the Xmas rush with it's early Janaury (11th) release date too.
Bagpuss66 Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 As I've mentioned in another thread Animal Crossing, Luigi's Mansion and of course Metroid should appear next year. Although I have a PS4 Pro and PC, the switch is used the most in my family. My younger son who is 7 loves playing Zelda and Mario kart. As an old gamer who has bought every Nintendo machine since the SNES I'm hoping that the online service will have games from other consoles in the near future. Great pricing plan.
sted Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 tbh all i want it for is cloud backup (i dont want to loose 500+ hours of xenoblade 2 files) my issue might be as that game only supports one save file ive had to create a 2nd profile on my switch for my second playthrough so i wonder if that means i need a family sub to back them both up (only have 1 switch and only a profile has a nintendo account tied to it the other is literally for 1 game (at least atm) now granted its hadly a big hardship and i can ieither give the other 3 subs to m sister for when her kids get a switch at xmas or just leave em (or possibly flog em at work lol)
CAM Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 There is talk of the cloud saves not being retained when your subscription lapses.
