An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join a team dedicated to provide management information systems support to Childrens Services and schools in Royal Greenwich.

We are looking to appoint a self-motivated lead officer to manage the SIMS Support Team and Service Desk within Children’s Services. Ideally, you will have experience of managing a team, although the successful candidate will be given development support. Personal drive to improve the quality of the service and support offered to schools is essential. As an accomplished user of the Capita SIMS product, you will have a firm grasp of the issues and challenges encountered. Your application will need to demonstrate that you have experience using or supporting the Capita SIMS suite of software.

You will be organised, have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, possess the ability to motivate a team towards the goal of delivering high-quality support and training to our customers across the range of SIMS modules.

Experience of working in a local authority support team would be ideal, but is not essential if you have worked within an education setting or come from the supplier side.

The ‘Lead Officer – SIMS and Service Desk’ role is part of a larger team that supports all management information systems within Children’s Services, including safeguarding and social care, and education. Being part of a larger team offers opportunities for support and development, along with exposure to other widely used local authority systems.

In return we can offer you a supportive and friendly team, a great salary, generous leave entitlement, a modern work environment and access to a variety of staff benefits and schemes.

The closing date for applications is Friday 28th September 2018.

It is expected that interviews will be held week commencing Monday 22nd October 2018.
