MIS Officer - Education & Early Years Planning and Resilience

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join a team dedicated to provide management information systems support to Childrens Services in Royal Greenwich.

We are looking to appoint a MIS Officer working as part of an application support team for Children’s Services’ main education management system ‘Synergy’. Ideally, you will have experience of using ‘Synergy’ or equivalent, and you are very likely to have worked within a local authority support team supporting education products. As an experienced user of the local authority education application products, you will have a firm grasp of the core functions and their uses within the context of Children’s Services.

The successful candidate will be given development support. Personal drive to provide high quality service and support is essential. You will be organised, have great communication and problem-solving skills, thrive in a team environment, but also be able work under your own initiative. Your application will need to demonstrate that you have experience using and supporting local authority education software. Experience of working in a local authority support team would be ideal, but is not essential if you have come from the supplier side.

The ‘MIS Officer - Education, Early Years & Resilience’ role is part of a larger team that supports all management information systems within Children’s Services, including schools, safeguarding and social care, and early help. Being part of a larger team offers opportunities for support and development, along with exposure to other widely used local authority systems.

In return we can offer you a supportive and friendly team, a great salary, generous leave entitlement, a modern work environment and access to a variety of staff benefits and schemes.

The closing date for applications is Friday 28th September 2018.

It is expected that interviews will be held week commencing Monday 22nd October 2018.

All vacancies close at midnight unless otherwise stated
