RoyalGreenwich Posted September 11, 2018 Posted September 11, 2018 (edited) An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join a team dedicated to provide management information systems support to Childrens Services and schools in Royal Greenwich. We are looking to appoint a MIS Officer working as part of a SIMS and Service Desk team supporting the use of SIMS and the general service desk functions for Children’s Services. Ideally, you will have some knowledge of using SIMS and it would a benefit to have worked within a school or other education environment. Personal drive to provide high quality service and support is essential. You will be organised and have great communication skills, thrive in a team environment, but also be able work under your own initiative. Your application will need to demonstrate that you have knowledge of the Capita SIMS suite of software, although we certainly don’t expect you be an experienced user. The successful candidate will be given development support. The ‘MIS Officer – SIMS & Service Desk’ role is part of a larger team that supports all management information systems within Children’s Services, including safeguarding and social care, and education. Being part of a larger team offers opportunities for support and development, along with exposure to other widely used local authority systems. In return we can offer you a supportive and friendly team, a great salary, generous leave entitlement, a modern work environment and access to a variety of staff benefits and schemes. The closing date for applications is Friday 28th September 2018. It is expected that interviews will be held week commencing Monday 22nd October 2018. Royal Borough of Greenwich is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff to share this commitment. Any roles which involve working with children, young people or vulnerable adults, or roles in which the duties will involve access to sensitive information relating to children, young people or vulnerable adults, the Royal Borough will take up references prior to interview. You should provide details of referees including your current and previous employers, covering the last 5 years. Royal Borough of Greenwich values the diversity of its community and aims to have a workforce that reflects this. We therefore encourage applications from all sections of the community. Royal Borough of Greenwich reserves the right to close any vacancy earlier than the advertised closing date should there be a high volume of applications received. All vacancies close at midnight unless otherwise stated. **APPROVED** Edited September 11, 2018 by Dos_Box
