mikkydoos Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 Hi all, Happy belated new school year  I need some recommendations for decent classroom colour laser printers and from where please. A4 single side print only 500 sheet paper tray Network No colour display speedy-ish Bullet proof ( ) As few consumables as possible... e.g. no waste toner bottle, imaging drums for each colour, photoconductors for each colour etc etc. There are so many cheap printers out there but the consumables costs and quantity of consumables are flippin' ridiculous. Used to have some HP's that only had a fuser and 4 toner cartridges. Do these still exist ? Cheers in advance
Jamman960 Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 I've given up on classroom printing all together, get them up and walking to nearby MFD's ideally with follow me print etc I used to waste so much tech time on classroom printers, now everyone uses the MFD's and we just call our supplier in for any issues on a 4hr callout. The cost savings on labor and consumables/parts easily justified the move.
mikkydoos Posted September 6, 2018 Author Posted September 6, 2018 I know. This is in a primary school IT room for kids to print to. All the rest of mine are MFD's
synaesthesia Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 For that level of printing I'd strongly suggest the HP pagewide inkjets. Cheap, ink (originals) are still relatively cheap so running costs are low. 1
