dapaulio Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 Had a new sims server and need to point nationwide cashless catering system and parent pay at the new sims server and cannot work out for the life of me where to make the changes. They have a sims link running on a machine in the canteen which communicates with head office but no obvious settings menu or config file. Nationwide want to charge me £100 for the privilege of changing server instance and dB name. Thanks
dapaulio Posted August 31, 2018 Author Posted August 31, 2018 There doesn’t seem to be an mis sync app. I looked for it as we use it on another site with vericool. They have a nationwide owned computer in the canteen with a sims link app constantly running communicating with their head office.
Steve21 Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 Unless it's changed there will be an .ini file with the settings and config that the exporter uses. If I remember right it used to be in the C:\ drive (either root or windows/system32) called something stupid like nrscatering2000.ini with the details of the servers/tills/sql etc Steve 1
FN-GM Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 For the SIMS link it uses the connect.ini - Has the SIMS client been re-installed on the machine? 1
Brands92 Posted September 5, 2018 Posted September 5, 2018 I have actually contacted sims about this today, migrate some users from Win 8 to 10 plover the holidays, not being told that one the machines I’ve done is used for this link up. Can’t push out sims via solus 3 either as that doesn’t seem to want to play ball. Will post back updates when I get them 😀 1
tech-man Posted September 5, 2018 Posted September 5, 2018 Our NRS uses ParentPay MISSync app from PP website then on NRS Server their is a sync app which pulls from PP to NRS dB. You should be able to resolve this yourself in 10min max. 1
