Core Switch Recomendations

Hi

 

I'm looking to upgrade our main core switch.

 

At present we have

2 iscsi switches - Aruba 2530

1 core switch that physical hosts are connected to - HP1920 - this is what I would like to replace

The edge switches x4 are connected via fibre links and are all HP1920s

 

I'd like to upgrade the core switch to have more SFP ports and increase performance. Don't need it for CLI and doesn't need to have vlan routing, as long as it has basic vlan setup - we just vlan traffic on the wifi network and there is a connection from the core to the UTM.

 

Someone suggested a HP 3800? Any other ideas?

 

As per school budgets not looking to spend more than around £1500-£2000 really
