We have just received a batch of Prodesk 400 G5's and need to install Windows 10 Education on them as they currently have Home edition. The problem is that when we either boot from an ISO or even trying to use MDT the machines USB ports freeze I'm assuming due to a lack of USB 3 driver. I would have thought the ISO downloaded from MS VLC would have worked but trying to find let alone install a USB driver is proving to be impossible. Is anyone has any ideas then please let me know as I've nowhere to go from here.

Many thanks for any help with this.

Regards

I had the same thing with a Windows 7 era WinPE Image. I think I updated to Win 8 WinPE at the time as it has built in drivers. Failing that you can use DISM to add the drivers to WinPE. Or initiate MDT from windows.
