Cazale Posted August 24, 2018 Posted August 24, 2018 (edited) I've just set up a load of new iPads, managed by Meraki (all DEP registered). I've got them all looking the way I want. Apps are being loaded through Meraki. I've locked out FaceTime/messages/etc. Renamed and update them all. But every iPad is getting frequent (i.e. multiple times per day) spam messages saying "Finish Setting Up iPad - Apple Pay is ready to be set up in Settings". I'm guessing this is something new in one of the recent updates, because I've never had this issue when setting up Pads previously? It's getting very annoying (and ridiculous because, of course, being a class set of iPads we'll never use Apple Pay!). I can't see anywhere to suppress or control this in Meraki. Anyone got a solution to this? Edit: I've turned off notifications for Apple Wallet on each device, as suggested elsewhere, that hasn't worked. Edited August 24, 2018 by Cazale
Brimstone Posted August 24, 2018 Posted August 24, 2018 This is done via the “Prestage enrolment” section in your MDM where you set what options are presented to the user when each iPad is activated.
computer_expert Posted August 26, 2018 Posted August 26, 2018 Are you using the free or paid version of meraki MDM? the old legacy 100 devices free plan hasn't had any new features since 2015. 1
bknaggs Posted August 26, 2018 Posted August 26, 2018 Try disabling Wallet in the iCloud settings for the Apple ID
Cazale Posted August 29, 2018 Author Posted August 29, 2018 Are you using the free or paid version of meraki MDM? the old legacy 100 devices free plan hasn't had any new features since 2015. The old free version. Which would explain that!
