Theldron Posted August 24, 2018 Posted August 24, 2018 Hi all, Got some new computers in today and went to start loading them with SCCM (not used before new school I am working at uses it. PXE booted now I am getting this "there are no task sequences available for this computer". Stuck to be honest, as said don't know SCCM. Bring back MDT and WDS anyday. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers
Blue_Cookeh Posted August 24, 2018 Posted August 24, 2018 (edited) Ok lets start with the simple stuff (not knowing how much time you've had to play with it here) When you bring in new machines with SCCM there are two ways you can image them. 1. You need to deploy a task sequence to the "Unknown computers" collection - this is a deployment that computers can PXE boot into even if they are not already in SCCM 2. or you need to get MAC addresses or SMBIOS GUIDs for each new PC and add them into SCCM, then add them into a collection that has a deployment associated with it Have you done either of these? SCCM is *fantastic* once you learn how to use it, but it's certainly a bit of a steep learning curve. Once you know your way around it you'll think WDS/MDT is extremely limited Edited August 24, 2018 by Blue_Cookeh
