This is a new organisation whose aims include:

• To ensure the delivery of high quality education, advice and support to all schools and organizations around online safety – keeping children and adults safer online.
  
• To be a conduit for 2-way communication between key organizations (e.g. UKSIC, UKCCIS, CEOP etc.) for the passing of information to inform best practice, new research etc.
  
• To bring together individuals who are passionate about online safety, enhance support amongst members and upskill each other.
  
• To ensure there is an increase in the level of quality and consistency in the information delivered in schools and other organizations around online safety.
  

 

It is only just starting as an organisation, but if it gives schools confidence in the professionals they use to help them improve their online safety then it has to be a good thing!

 

I shall be observing to see who joins and what it does. Watch this space!
