nsion Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 ICT Field Engineer – North / NW London * Aug / Sep start * £24,000 - £26,000 (Full Time, Permanent), 30 days holiday (plus bank hols) Benefits include laptop, smartphone and mileage allowance Our client, who provide ICT support services to schools in London have an urgent requirement for an experienced ICT Field Engineer to cover their schools in North/North West London. As the ICT Field Engineer, you will help to improve the standard of ICT provisions and enable the schools to deliver effective teaching and learning through ICT solutions. You will also facilitate communication between your schools and the Head Office. To be considered for this role, you must have previous experience supporting IT within a school or college and be able to drive, with access to a car or motorbike. You must also be able to work independently and have an aptitude for problem solving and a proactive approach to identifying ways to improve services provided by your team. The main duties of this position include: · Managing your time to support a number of schools, primarily within Windows environments. · Maintaining computer peripheral equipment including scanners, printers, whiteboards and projectors. · Installing / maintaining user network accounts and carrying out routine network maintenance. · Ensuring backups are working and complete, and technical problems are logged and tracked. · Ensuring anti-virus software is installed, kept up to date and working properly on all stations. · Installing and testing new software, setting up and maintaining user e-mail accounts. · Liaising with external support agencies to resolve faults as quickly as possible.
