NetGear Prosafe WC7520

Hi Guys,

 

Got a Netgear prosafe wireless controller WC7520 and i can't get into the interface. I have configure a laptop with a static Ip address 192.168.0.210 and a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 connected it directly to the wireless controller but I still can't access 192.168.0.250

 

Please anyone had this issue before?

I had to connect through a switch once before to get a netgear device working

worth a go

presuming 2555 is a typo

 

also completely disable the wifi card through device manager I had this problem when trying to connect to a switch one time and the only way I could connect through the lan port was by shutting off the wifi card. do not know why but it worked.

 

I always configure aps etc through a desktop these days

just set static ip on pc and connected to the switch

 

put the cable from the netgear device into the switch also.

 

I know its madness but it did work

if your directly connecting x over cable may be required?

a cross over cable is where the orange and green pair (Rx and Tx) are swapped over... basically used to connect computers directly with out the need for a switch.... but most modern equipment doesn't need them...
