Sophos UTM and apple

I have some mac minis that I've setup and are going through the sophos utm proxy how ever I'm getting strange experiences from safari.

 

When a user puts in there user and password for the proxy they can browse the Internet fine and then all of sudden it will just stop making Internet request and even if you close the session and reopen same thing

 

Even logging off and back on don't seem to work

 

I have a feeling it's something to do with the way the authentication is taking place

 

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated
