Do you have excellent IT skills? If so, we are looking to recruit an IT Technician to join our Trust. The person would be the first point of call for IT support, maintain a high degree of customer service, install and repair hardware and software as required, assist both staff and students face-to-face, by email or remote access, perform any other duties identified by the IT Manager. Working experience of Microsoft operating systems and Office packages is required and some knowledge of networking would be desirable. We need someone who is energetic, friendly and most importantly a team player. You must be able to demonstrate that you can work independently when required and not be afraid to take on a challenge. A good personality and ‘can-do’ attitude is essential as is a willingness to learn. A proven ability to communicate complex technical issues to users from different backgrounds and levels of IT ability is essential. Previous experience working in an education setting is desirable. The salary for the role is APT&C points 17 – 20 + fringe (currently £18,672p.a. to £19,819p.a. + £857p.a.), depending on skills and experience.
