JATSO Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 Today we started noticing problems with our gmail not being received amongst our schools on the (school.town.sch.uk) domains. I logged into our gmail admins for our schools and noticed that all schools m&s records had gone. When I asked Google support they said the domains need to be registered\bought. I have sent an email to Nominet to query the issue. Has anyone else had any problems? Looks like all gmail for us could be down until this is sorted. Thanks
FN-GM Posted June 20, 2018 Posted June 20, 2018 Who is your registrar? Likely to be an issue with them rather than Google or Nominet.
AlanD Posted June 20, 2018 Posted June 20, 2018 I think it’s county rather than town in the url. .I assume you mean mx records? I’m not sure that google would be hosting these anyhow.....but I don’t know who does host them...the DES registers and keeps the .sch.uk domain Have you tried an mx look up for your domain? Does it point to your google domain?
JATSO Posted June 20, 2018 Author Posted June 20, 2018 According to last contact I had it is Nominet so I have emailed their support and will call in about 10mins. No trace on any of the MX records they have just gone from gmail domain admins. Going to be an interesting day.
XiJ Posted June 20, 2018 Posted June 20, 2018 Who owns / manages your domain? You should be able to add the MX records back on easy enough.
JATSO Posted June 20, 2018 Author Posted June 20, 2018 digitalbrain.com apparently is the host for DNS and they seem to off the net. Googled them not sure if it's the right company buty according to companies house they dissolved in January 2018.

I know zen.co.uk will do .sch.uk domains.
JATSO Posted June 20, 2018 Author Posted June 20, 2018 Thanks for your replies moved too another host once I obtained all the info I needed.
