Fazza Posted June 13, 2018 Posted June 13, 2018 I've got a Lenovo B50-70 that needs a new Power Board (it says ZIWB3 LS-B094P) on the board and I've found this in the service manual: I can see plenty of second hand ones on the likes of eBay etc. but does anybody have a laptop parts supplier that they use that I could get a new part from as I'd rather get a new one if possible. There is damage to the screen case so I'm deducing that it was dropped/knocked on to the floor whilst the mains lead was plugged in as the power socket on the power board is damaged and so it the case lid (just cosmetic on the lid).
Blue_Cookeh Posted June 13, 2018 Posted June 13, 2018 You need to look for part number 90007354 Usually I get out of warranty parts from https://flexcommunityesales.force.com/LenovoEsales/ccrz__HomePage?store=LenovoEsales&isCSRFlow=true&portalUser=&store=&cclcl=en_US but it doesn't look like they have that particular one in stock. In that situation I've had luck putting a warranty ticket in with Lenovo and just asking to buy the part with no engineer since it's OOW, which they've been happy enough to sort for me.
MrEprise Posted June 13, 2018 Posted June 13, 2018 I'd be interested to know too as I had attempted to repair a B50-80 recently. Problem with eBay is that even if a part has the correct part number, it doesn't guarantee that it'll be the correct one as I found out when I purchased a new power jack for one (It's a jack soldered to a cable for earlier B50s and soldered to the main system board for newer ones.) I'd managed to get the cable based one but it was 8mm too short and once I'd managed to get the correct cable and fit it, worked out that once the battery had run down the user had tried plugging the adapter back in and subsequently fried the motherboard. The backstory is that they had left the adapter plugged in whilst leaving the laptop on their car seat. They then had to brake suddenly causing the laptop to fly off and hit the floor smashing the power jack to bits and bending a number of the pins in the process. So now I'm left to find a replacement motherboard as the school doesn't want to pay too much for it's repair.

Unfortunately, that part number on the Lenovo website link you gave looks nothing like the part I have! Back to the drawing board... well service manual anyway! **EDIT** The name of the part I need a supplier for is Docking Board C B50-70 and it's Lenovo part number is 90007356. Fazza Posted June 19, 2018 Author Posted June 19, 2018 Have you tried here? https://www.lambda-tek.com/shop/?region=GB&searchString=90007356 Yes but they also claim to sell Cisco branded UHT Milk on their website - I did query this with them and they confirmed it's correct and they are trying to sell Cisco UHT milk cartons for over £800 so somethings a bit strange there so avoiding them like the plague! Might be worth trying these guys I saw at BETT http://www.laptopsandspares.com Laptops and Spares I saw them too but forgot what they are called so thanks for that! **ALL SORTED NOW** Using the previsouly provided links to Lenovos parts site I found the part I was looking for, saw it was not in stock so I then contacted AMC Computers with the part number and they could get hold of it so I placed an order and it arrived the other day and the laptop has now been repaired
