Remote desktop ideas

Hi all. I am after finding out what primary schools in kent use for remote access for staff? I have been asked about access to their desktop profiles and documents etc. I know that a terminal server can be used but just wondered as what other options schools use as money is very tight?

We use MS routing and remote access, and give the staff a preconfigured installer to run on their own machines to securely connect. This client will automatically connect, map their drives, open their home drive in explorer and open the school intranet

hi ah ok, and this works fine from home etc? ( once ports etc have been opened!!)
